Replify Accelerator
LAN-Speed Performance Over Any WAN — No Proprietary Hardware Required
Replify Accelerator is a pure software WAN optimisation and application acceleration platform that delivers LAN-like performance over wide area networks. No proprietary hardware boxes. No forklift upgrades. No vendor lock-in. Just software that runs on whatever infrastructure you already have — VMware, Hyper-V, Docker, Linux, macOS, Windows, or even a Raspberry Pi — and makes your network dramatically faster.
The technology works by combining four optimisation techniques into a single, lightweight engine. The Intelligent Caching Engine (ICE) performs block-level de-duplication across all TCP protocols, ensuring data that's already been transferred never crosses the wire again. Lossless compression squeezes payloads to reduce effective file sizes. Protocol optimisation eliminates the redundant "chatty" Layer-7 calls that HTTP, HTTPS, and CIFS are notorious for. And TCP optimisation uses connection pooling and advanced congestion control to squeeze maximum throughput from poor or congested links. The result is bandwidth reductions of 50% to 85% as standard, with some workloads — repeated file downloads, backup replication, software distribution — achieving up to 99% data offload.
Deployment is remarkably simple. You place a Virtual Appliance in your data centre or cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP, or an Australian sovereign cloud like RackCorp), and a matching Virtual Appliance or lightweight Mobile Client at each remote site or user device. The two endpoints handle the optimisation transparently — no application changes, no proxy configuration, no user training. For remote workers, the Mobile Client deploys silently via Windows Group Policy or any standard MDM tool. You can have an entire remote workforce accelerated in an afternoon, not a quarter.
Replify also offers the Enterprise Manager (REM) for organisations managing large-scale deployments — a centralised orchestration platform that provides a single pane of glass for monitoring, licensing, and configuring all your Virtual Appliances and Mobile Clients. And with the 2026 launch of Replify Secure Access, the platform now extends into zero-trust network access (ZTNA), merging identity-based security with WAN acceleration so you don't have to choose between a secure connection and a fast one.

Replify's competitive position is refreshingly clear: it's the pure software alternative to legacy hardware-dependent WAN optimisation vendors, and it fills the application acceleration gap that SD-WAN platforms don't address. Against Riverbed SteelHead — the incumbent that dominated WAN optimisation for a decade — the argument is cost, flexibility, and reach. Riverbed's model is built around proprietary hardware appliances. Every branch office gets a box. Every data centre gets a bigger box. The capital expenditure is significant, the hardware lifecycle creates refresh headaches, and scaling to individual remote workers is essentially impossible — Riverbed doesn't have a lightweight mobile client that pushes caching to a laptop. Replify replaces all of that hardware with software that runs on existing servers, hypervisors, or cloud instances, and extends acceleration to every individual user via the Mobile Client. The capital expenditure drops to near zero, and the operational model shifts from managing hardware appliances to managing software licences. Against Silver Peak (now HPE Aruba) and Citrix SD-WAN — Replify doesn't compete directly. SD-WAN handles routing, path selection, and replacing MPLS with broadband. What SD-WAN doesn't do is fix latency, reduce payload sizes, or cache repeated data transfers. Replify slots in as a Virtual Network Function (VNF) within SD-WAN platforms, providing the Layer-7 protocol optimisation, de-duplication, and compression that SD-WAN architectures are missing. This complementary positioning means Replify actually enhances SD-WAN deployments rather than competing with them — and several SD-WAN vendors (including Multapplied Networks and Open Systems) have already integrated Replify as an embedded acceleration layer. For the Australian market specifically, Replify's lightweight deployment model is a natural fit for the geographic challenges local businesses face. Remote offices in regional and rural Australia, mining sites, maritime operations, and agricultural technology deployments often have severely constrained bandwidth. Sending a Riverbed appliance to a remote mine site is expensive and logistically painful. Deploying a Replify Virtual Appliance on existing infrastructure — or even a Raspberry Pi — is something an IT team can do remotely in minutes.
