QSAN XCubeNAS 8100R

The QSAN XCubeNAS 8100R series is a single-controller rackmount NAS line optimised for Australian SMBs and remote-office deployments where I/O-intensive workloads need flash-ready performance without a dual-controller price tag. Built-in quad 10GbE SFP+ on every model accelerates I/O without optional host-card purchases — uncommon at this product tier.

Running QSM 4, the 8100R brings the full multi-protocol enterprise stack: AFP, CIFS, FTP, iSCSI, NFS, WebDAV, with Windows AD, LDAP, Windows ACL, advanced ACL, and built-in antivirus. The multi-layer security architecture covers WORM at folder level, pool encryption, and SED at folder/pool/drive levels — well above what most single-controller rack NAS vendors ship. Hybrid SSD cache, deduplication, compression, and thin provisioning let partners run primary file workloads, application servers, and virtualisation host targets on the same chassis.

For multi-PB scalability, the 8100R supports XCubeDAS expansion.
