What Is the QSAN XN2 Series?
The QSAN XN2 series is QSAN's SMB-tier rackmount NAS — a single-controller line designed for businesses moving past desktop storage into proper data-centre form factors, but without the price tag (or complexity) of dual-active controllers. Three models cover most SMB scenarios: the XN2104 (1U, 4-bay), the XN2112 (2U, 12-bay), and the XN2116 (3U, 16-bay).
Like every QSAN NAS, the XN2 runs QSM 4 on a 128-bit ZFS file system. Multi-protocol access (AFP, CIFS, FTP, iSCSI, NFS, WebDAV), Windows AD / LDAP integration, advanced ACLs, WORM at folder level, pool encryption, and SED protection are standard rather than upsell SKUs. Built-in network options include both RJ45 copper Ethernet and SFP+ fibre on selected configurations, so partners can match the connectivity to whatever's already in the rack without buying optional host cards on day one.
